NYS Comptroller DiNapoli releases report describing “troubling child poverty trends across the state, including a child poverty rate that is one of the worst in the nation and alarmingly high in some cities.” Calling attention to the “time-sensitive nature” of the problem, the Comptroller urges the Child Poverty Reduction Advisory Council to “advance cost-effective and sustainable solutions to child poverty in New York so that these ideas can be appropriately considered and lead to action in the next State budget.”
